Buying & Delivery
Pre-purchase decisions and order fulfilment
Yes β and we recommend it. Visit the OHM Experience Center at 930 Harbourside Drive, North Vancouver. Open ThursdayβSaturday 10amβ5pm, with TuesdayβWednesday available by appointment. Book your test ride online to reserve a time that works for you.
You can also find a dealer near you β our network of 50+ dealers across Canada carry current OHM models for in-person demos.
There are two ways to buy an OHM:
Online (ohmcycles.com): Browse our full lineup, place your order, and have your bike shipped directly to you across Canada. Pre-orders require no deposit β you pay when your bike is ready to ship.
Through a dealer: Over 50 authorized dealers across Canada carry OHM bikes. Find your nearest location for in-store purchase and support.
OHM bikes come in three frame sizes based on rider height:
S β 5'0"β5'6" Β· M β 5'5"β5'11" Β· L β 5'10"β6'3"
If you're between sizes, height alone isn't always the deciding factor β inseam, riding posture, and intended use matter too. The best way to get this right is a test ride at the Experience Center or with your local dealer.
In-stock bikes typically ship within 3β5 business days and arrive within 7β14 business days depending on your location. You'll receive a tracking number once your order ships.
Pre-order bikes (including the Discover series) ship when inventory arrives β currently estimated for May 2026. No deposit is required; you pay at time of shipment.
Your OHM ships partially assembled and includes the battery charger, owner's manual, and all hardware needed for final setup. Most riders complete assembly in under 30 minutes β handlebars, pedals, and front wheel require basic tools. If you'd prefer professional assembly, any authorized dealer can handle this for you.
Before your first ride, read your manual in full and run through the pre-ride checklist. Our Getting Started guide covers everything.
Ownership & Support
Using and maintaining your bike
Range depends on assist level, terrain, rider weight, wind, and temperature β treat manufacturer figures as best-case estimates.
Bosch (Discover series, 400Wh): roughly 90β110 km Eco / 60β80 km Tour / 30β40 km Turbo on flat terrain. The 800Wh battery approximately doubles these. Use the Bosch Range Assistant for a personalised estimate.
Shimano STEPS (Journey, Cruise, Quest): ranges vary by model β see your product page. Tips for maximising range apply to both systems: see our Getting Started guide.
Every OHM comes with comprehensive warranty coverage:
Frame: Lifetime against manufacturing defects
Electrical system & motor: 2 years
Battery: 2 years
Components (brakes, drivetrain, etc.): 1 year
OHM also guarantees parts availability for 10+ years. Read the full warranty terms and how to make a claim.
Every OHM e-bike is UL 2849 certified in accordance with TΓV electrical and fire safety standards β some of the most rigorous testing available for e-bikes. This covers the battery, motor, and electrical system as an integrated whole, not just individual components.
In a market where certification practices vary widely, this is a meaningful differentiator. When you're investing $3,500β$5,000 in a bike you'll ride daily, knowing the electrical system has been independently tested matters.
Yes. OHM bikes are designed for real Canadian conditions β that means rain, not just sunny-day commutes. Electrical components are weather-sealed to IPX5 standards, hardware is corrosion-resistant, and fenders are double-walled aluminum.
One important note: wet weather reduces braking effectiveness for both you and other vehicles sharing the road. Ride more slowly and apply your brakes earlier and more gradually than in dry conditions. Avoid submerging the bike or pressure-washing electrical components directly.
Your serial number is printed on a QR code permanently embedded under the clearcoat on the underside of the downtube β the large diagonal tube running from the head tube down toward the pedals. Flip the bike or crouch down and look up at the underside of that tube.
Note that OHM serial numbers are not on the bottom bracket shell, which is where most bikes stamp them. You'll need the serial number for warranty claims, theft reports, and bike registration.

Authorized dealer network β Most of our 50+ Canadian dealers offer e-bike service. Find a dealer near you.
For all service and repairs beyond routine owner maintenance, we recommend using a qualified bicycle mechanic with e-bike experience.
All OHM batteries charge from a standard 120V outlet using the included charger, on or off the bike. The Discover series 400Wh takes approximately 4 hours; the 800Wh approximately 7.5 hours. A Bosch fast charger (sold separately) reduces this significantly.
For battery longevity tips β including storage recommendations and cold-weather care β see our Getting Started guide.
Class 1 (pedal assist only, up to 32 km/h) β Discover series (MY26), Journey series, Cruise, Quest.
Class 3 (pedal assist only, up to 45 km/h) β Journey series US variant only. Not available in Canada.
Under Canadian federal regulations, Class 1 bikes qualify as power-assisted bicycles (PABs) β no licence, registration, or insurance is required in most provinces. Local rules vary; check your provincial regulations. All OHM bikes sold in Canada comply with Transport Canada's PAB standard. It is your responsibility to know and obey the laws of the areas where you ride.
Manuals & Owner Resources
Safety information, manuals, and drive system support β view all manuals
Your OHM ships with a printed owner's manual. There are two manuals: the OHM Owner's Manual (frame, components, safety, maintenance) and your drive system manual from Bosch or Shimano (motor, battery, display). Both contain safety information specific to your system.
Visit our Owner's Manuals page for PDF downloads, Bosch Smart System guides, and Shimano STEPS resources β all in one place.
Before every ride: check that both brakes engage firmly before touching the handlebar, both wheels are correctly secured with no side-to-side wobble, tires are inflated to the pressure marked on the sidewall, and all fasteners feel solid β lift the front wheel a few inches and let it drop to check for rattles.
The full pre-ride checklist, including lights and safety gear, is in our Getting Started guide.
Yes. Control cables and wheel spokes may stretch or seat during early use and may require readjustment. We recommend bringing your new bike in for a 30-day checkup β or after approximately 10β15 hours of on-road riding β even if everything seems fine. Book yours at the Experience Center or with your nearest authorized dealer.
Shimano STEPS-powered OHM bikes (Journey, Cruise, Quest) are compatible with the E-Tube RIDE app β monitor battery status, customize assist modes, and track ride data from your phone via Bluetooth. Download from the App Store or Google Play. For setup help, visit Shimano's STEPS support page.
The Discover series uses the Bosch Smart System, which integrates with the eBike Flow app for navigation, ride tracking, assist customization, and remote lock. Download from the App Store or Google Play and pair via Bluetooth to your Kiox 300C display.
For full setup instructions and system manuals, visit the Bosch eBike Help Center. Use the Bosch Range Assistant to estimate real-world range for your specific riding conditions.
Run a mechanical safety check before every ride. Clean and lubricate the chain after every long or wet ride, or every 100 miles. Bring the bike in for a dealer checkup after the initial break-in period (30 days or ~10β15 hours), then every 25β50 hours of riding β and always after any crash.
Full service schedule and e-bike-specific maintenance requirements are on our Warranty & Support page.
Many accessories β racks, lights, bags, locks β are compatible with your OHM. Before installing any component or accessory, confirm compatibility with your dealer. Changing components with non-genuine or unverified replacement parts may affect safety and can void your warranty.
