Typically one day (to work and back) will use up the battery to 1 or 2 bars remaining. The battery usage to work is relatively minimal: I will have the lights on the whole ride; I use power 2 for about 1 km; I use power 4 for about about 1.5 km (a large hill); I will put the bike on regen 4 going down the hill – approx. 500m.
The ride to work will use up approx. 3 bars of power. The ride home I will have power on for most of the way: I will have it on power 2 for approx 4.5 km and power 4 for 4 km; no lights are on and no regen; this will use up to 1 or 2 bars of power remaining. The battery charges quickly and has been no problem. The bike itself has been working great too.
I have been really enjoying riding in. Like I said to you before, the ride is relaxing and invigorating compared to having to deal with driving, which leads me to being frustrated and lethargic. Having the power assistance has been essential as I don’t think I would or could ride to work regularly. There is one large hill to climb on the way to work and two large hills on the way home that would be daunting without the power assist.
