Customers can “choose their OHM adventure” with new add-on component options

OHM Cycles today announced new options to customize the features and prices of its 2013 electric bikes. Customers can add on any or all of three components – custom fenders, LED lighting, and/or a rear carry rack – or save money by purchasing the base bike with no features, which can still be added later on. The new starting price for the 2013 e-bike models is $2,899.00.

The CEO of OHM Cycles, Michael DeVisser, explains: “The add-on components are all designed to make the cycling experience safer and more comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable for OHM riders. By letting our customers decide which of the features they want to pay for, our bikes also become a better value and more affordable. And if customers later decide that they want certain features after all, they can always purchase the add-on components at a later date.”

The 2013 bikes come in a commuter bike and mountain bike model, both powered by s silent, vibration-free BionX 350 high torque motor.  Both use a 37V 9.6Ah LiMn battery and can fuel up to 90 km (55 miles) on single charge. New Schwalbe Energizer Plus tires constructed with a high-quality compound with low rolling friction and good grip are specially made for e-bikes.

Customers can start placing orders for the new models as early as October for shipment in Spring 2013, through the OHM Factory Store or OHM Authorized Dealers.
